Terms of Service
Last updated: 10 July 2026
These terms cover using the Joycast website and working with Joycast on video podcast production. By using the site or engaging our services, you agree to them. We've kept them plain; if anything's unclear, email hello@joycast.co and we'll explain.
01Who we are
Joycast is a video podcast production studio based in Southend-on-Sea, United Kingdom. In these terms, "Joycast", "we", "us" and "our" mean Joycast; "you" and "your" mean the person or organisation using the site or our services. You can reach us any time at hello@joycast.co.
02Using this website
You're welcome to browse the site, use the package builder, and get in touch. Please don't misuse it, no attempts to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to it, and no copying the site's design, copy or code for your own commercial use. The site is provided "as is"; we work to keep it accurate and available but can't promise it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.
03Our services
We produce video and audio podcasts on an à la carte basis: you choose the parts you want, editing, short-form clips, thumbnails, SEO titles and show notes, retention intros, and one-off brand builds (The Launchpad), and we deliver them per episode. The specification you build, whether through the package builder or by email, is what we agree to produce. Anything outside that scope is a new request we'll quote separately.
04Pricing and payment
- Prices are shown on the site, in pounds sterling, and are charged per episode unless stated otherwise.
- The crew rate takes 10% off the package when you release three or more episodes in a month. It is applied automatically.
- No VAT is added.
- Payment is per episode, up front, by card. Where you release on a regular schedule, payment can recur for convenience; you can change your add-ons between episodes.
- We may change our prices from time to time, but not for work already agreed and in progress.
05No contract, pause and cancellation
There is no minimum term and no contract. You can pause between seasons or cancel at any time, with no notice period and no penalty. If you cancel, we finish and deliver any episode already paid for and in progress; we don't charge for work not yet started.
06Revisions and turnaround
We work one episode at a time and include revisions, we go back and forth until the cut is right within the scope you ordered, rather than to a fixed count. Turnaround is usually under a week per episode from the moment you send complete raw files. Timings are honest estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by the state of the files you send, the size of the request, and holidays we'll flag in advance.
07What you send us
To do the work we need your raw recordings and any brand material you want used. By sending them, you confirm that you own them or have the right to use them, and that they don't infringe anyone else's rights or break the law. You grant us the licence we need to store and process your material to produce your deliverables. You're responsible for the content and claims made in your show.
08Ownership of the finished work
Once an episode is paid for, you own it, the final files, the cuts, the clips and the artwork, to keep and use however you like, forever. We don't lock anything away. We may show finished work as an example of what we do (on this site or in a portfolio) unless you ask us not to; just tell us and we'll keep your show private.
09Confidentiality
Anything you share with us that isn't already public, unreleased episodes, plans, internal material, we keep confidential and use only to do your work. We expect the same care with anything we share with you.
10Liability
We take real care with your work, but to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost profits, revenue or opportunities; and our total liability for any claim connected to a piece of work is limited to the amount you paid us for that work. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11Privacy
How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. Using the site and our services means you've read it.
12Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The version on this page is the current one, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Material changes won't affect work already agreed.
13Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the courts of England and Wales.
