Should you produce your podcast yourself or outsource it?
The honest fork every show hits: what DIY really costs in hours, what outsourcing costs in pounds, and the break-even point where handing it off becomes the cheaper option.
FULL-SERVICE VIDEO PODCAST PRODUCTION
For busy teams who want a serious show without learning a thing about production. You bring the voice, we handle every stage from launch to orbit.

Three stages, launch to orbit.
Record your session, studio or remote, then drop the raw files into your Joycast portal as an edit request. That's your whole job done.
The same crew cuts, colours, mixes and masters your episode to your liking, along with every add-on in your package.
Give feedback and sign off in Frame.io, revisions included. Then you release the finished episode on your platforms.
"Matthew is such a gem! We will continue to work with him for his responsiveness, attention to detail and passion for the work. He's able to produce the highest quality product that best represents our brand."
Record once and send the files. One session becomes every asset your show needs, the divider shows an episode before and after the edit.
BEFORE ↔ AFTER · DRAG THE DIVIDER
A single session, uploaded once. Studio or remote, recording is your whole job.
Transparent, per-episode pricing. Play with it, the total updates live. No forms before numbers.
Full edit of one episode, up to an hour, cuts, colour, mix and master. £280 per episode. Set how many you release every 4 weeks, or take it to zero for a clips-only package cut from your own recordings.

SHORT-FORM CLIPS
Every episode becomes vertical clips built to pull new listeners in. See the same moment cut both ways, then pick the tier that fits your show.

Most production companies sound identical on a sales call. Six questions cut through it, covering deliverables, ownership, revisions, turnaround, pricing and proof. Here is what strong answers sound like, and the contract terms that should end the conversation.
Starting a podcast in the UK costs anywhere from £150 to £2,500 up front depending on ambition, but the number that decides whether your show survives is the per-episode cost. Here is the honest maths for both.
After you pick a package you get access to our production portal. Create a task for each episode, drop in your raw files, and we take it from there.
Under a week per episode from the moment you send your raw files, including clips, thumbnails and show notes. We work on a weekly cycle and build headroom ahead of your release day, so an episode is never a scramble.
On average about three business days from the start of a task for your first review version. The finished episode, with clips and artwork, lands within the week.
Nothing special to start. A decent webcam or phone camera and a USB microphone are enough; we'll advise a simple setup for your budget and handle everything after record.
Both. Record in a studio or remotely, whatever suits your show. For remote sessions we recommend Riverside. Send us the raw files and we handle every stage after that.
Record in 4K if you can, it makes for a sharper 1080p. We accept 4K files but deliver in 1080p, the resolution every platform actually serves. Working from 4K also lets us punch in and reframe shots with no loss of quality.
We're built for video podcasts, so we don't take on audio-only shows at the moment. If you're starting out, we'd honestly recommend video: the setup is simpler than you'd think and it opens up far more distribution, from YouTube to short-form clips.
Yes. We work one episode at a time and include revisions, we go back and forth until the cut is right, not until a counter runs out.
Any time. Pause your plan when you're not recording and pick up exactly where you left off. No notice period, no penalty.
You do. Every file, every cut, every asset, forever. We keep nothing locked away.
No. You pay per episode and can cancel any time. Most clients stay because the work is good, not because paperwork makes them.
Per episode, up front, by card. If you release on a schedule it can recur like a subscription, and you can change your add-ons between episodes.
