How much does video podcast editing cost in the UK?
Joycast starts at £280 per episode for a full edit of up to an hour, cuts, colour, mix and master. Everything else is à la carte: clips from £35, retention intros from £100, thumbnails £40 and SEO titles and notes £30 per episode. You see the total before you talk to anyone, and no VAT is added.
What's included in the £280 base edit?
A full edit of one episode up to an hour: cuts to remove false starts and dead air, colour matched across cameras, and audio mixed and mastered. It's the base of every package; clips, thumbnails, intros and SEO are added on top only if you want them.
Do you offer a discount for multiple episodes?
Yes. At three or more episodes every 4 weeks the crew rate applies, 10% off the whole package. It's the only discount, it's automatic, and there's no tier or commitment to unlock it.
What if we skip a week or take a break?
Nothing happens. You pay per episode, so a quiet week simply costs nothing. Pause between seasons and pick up exactly where you left off, with the same crew on your show.
Is there a minimum or a contract?
No. There's no minimum number of episodes and no contract. You pay per episode, pause between seasons, and can cancel any time with no notice period or penalty.
Can I change my package between episodes?
Any time. Add or drop clips, intros, thumbnails or SEO from one episode to the next. Your package is a menu you adjust as the show changes, not a fixed plan.
Who owns the finished files?
You do, every file, every cut, every asset, forever. And revisions are included: we go back and forth until the cut is right, not until a counter runs out.
How do payments work?
Per episode, up front, by card. If you release on a schedule it can recur like a subscription, and you can change your add-ons between episodes at any time.
